When your 2.2 SD4 fails, a rebuild often makes far better financial sense than replacing the car. We strip, measure and rebuild your 224DT with new belt kit, bearings, seals and gaskets, priced realistically for an older vehicle's value.
Because parts availability for this engine remains excellent, replacement is quick and cost-effective when rebuilding is not viable. Our reconditioned SD4 and TD4 units arrive tested with fresh belts already fitted, and we can supply them UK-wide or install them at our Grays workshop within days, warranty included.

2.2 DIESEL DIAGNOSTICSThese cars are now a decade or more old, and their faults follow age as much as mileage. The timing belt tops the list: rubber degrades over time regardless of miles, and a snapped belt on this interference engine bends every valve instantly.
Emissions components come next, EGR valves choked with carbon, DPFs blocked by school-run duty, and injector seals leaking to form the hard black deposits mechanics call carbon 'volcanoes.'
Oil and coolant leaks from ageing gaskets complete the picture. None of it is exotic; all of it is fixable at sensible cost.
