We machine-strip your V6 or straight six, crack-test the block and crankshaft, then rebuild with new bearings, oil pump, chain kits and gaskets, eliminating the oil starvation weakness that destroyed the original unit.
Where a crankshaft has snapped or bearing debris has circulated through the galleries, replacement beats repair. We supply fully reconditioned 306DT and D300 engines, available as bare units shipped anywhere in the UK, or supplied and fitted at our Grays workshop with warranty documentation included.

3.0 LAND ROVER SUPPORTThe failure sequence is well documented. The oil pump, whether through casing failure, worn drive or a loose pick-up, stops delivering full pressure. Crankshaft bearings then run metal-on-metal, and within a short distance the bottom end is beyond saving.
The same oil starvation vulnerability runs right back through the engine family to the 2.7 TDV6 fitted to the Discovery 3, which is why so many owners of both generations reach us with identical symptoms.
Warning signs include low pressure warnings at idle, a deep knock under load and glitter in the drained oil. Caught early, the engine is rebuildable; ignored, only replacement remains.
Our process leaves nothing to assumption. Blocks and crankshafts are crack-detected, journals are measured and reground where needed, and oilways are ultrasonically cleaned to remove every trace of bearing debris.
Assembly uses new bearings, a fresh oil pump, complete timing chain kits and genuine gasket sets, with each engine run and pressure-verified before release.
